Responsible for performing meter proving and measurement related maintenance activities (e.g. conducting or witnessing meter proving, (if applicable) calibrate pressure and temperature transmitter, and maintain Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) devices) to ensure fair and accurate measurement and reliable operation. Under direct supervision, be able to uses judgment and work independently to maintain safe, compliance, reliable and efficiency operation. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform proving by conducting or witnessing test
  • Develop and maintain test schedule
  • Maintains and operate Electronic Flow Measure (EFM) devices
  • Collect Electronic Flow measurement data (EFM)
  • Provides field support to the measurement analyst team
  • Maintain, inspect and operate custody operational pipeline meters, LACT and ACT units in accordance to company policy, industry, and BLM standards (e.g. PD, Coriolis, turbine, etc)
  • Installs/calibrates electronic transducers (Pressure, and Temperature)
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain product quality devices O2, H2S, H2O, BS&W etc. (if applicable)
  • Operate portable gas chromatographs (if applicable)
  • Pulls spot samples (if applicable)
  • Perform and understand crude oil quality (Centrifuge Method)
  • Operate/maintain automatic liquid samplers
  • Commission, connect and disconnect LACT or ACT units (if applicable)
  • Understand tank measurement for floating roof and standard storage tanks (if applicable)
  • Understand and witness water-draws as required
  • Perform functions independently in area of responsibility 








  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.


  • One to five years liquid measurement experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating meter prover is required
  • Knowledge of Electronic Flow Measure (EFM) devices
  • Basic computer software e.g. MS Window, excel spreadsheet and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and customer services 
  • Work independently, organized and deadline oriented with flexibility to multitask
  • A willingness to learn and grow with the position 
  • Must be able to work well in both independently and team environments
  • Strong safety focus
