Job Description

  • Develops, establishes and implements foodservice category management strategies and tactics, milestones, goals, and objectives for 500+ convenience stores in the Southwest and Midwest. Includes National branded, proprietary MTO, and pre-packaged concepts.
  • Supervisory responsibility for a small team (currently two direct reports).
  • Manages profitability and sales growth of assigned categories and subcategories, develops cost models and market analysis, analyzes and investigates variances between actual and projected gross margin.
  • Oversees development of planograms and store layouts.
  • Oversees marketing, product assortment and promotional development. Develops short and long-term product marketing plans.
  • Ensures optimal item distribution and pricing are achieved. Oversees item evaluation and rationalization process.
  • Collaborates in selection of vendors, equipment and store graphics.
  • Develops and implements contract negotiation strategies.
