Summary

Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the regional pipeline integrity program.   

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Implements and oversees all aspects of the integrity management program.
  • Provides integrity-related engineering design guidance for pipeline projects including material selection, pig trap design, hydrostatic test plan design, and MOP/MAOP calculations.
  • Oversees integrity assessment plans (in-line inspection, direct assessments, hydrostatic testing, other technology), including repair and defect assessments.
  • Integrates and analyzes integrity assessment data to determine appropriate preventative and mitigative measures, re-assessment intervals, and re-assessment methods.
  • Manages pipeline risk tool.
  • Ensures compliance with all PHMSA, State, and Company pipeline IM requirements. 
  • Provides scope, schedule and budget guidance for pipeline integrity work.
  • Supports regulatory audits (PHMSA / State).

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

EDUCATION

* Minimum undergraduate degree in engineering required.

* Metallurgy preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE 

* Registered Professional Engineer Certification or NACE Certification preferred.

 

Advanced knowledge in:

* pipeline design, operations, and maintenance, pipeline threat identification

* pipeline integrity assessments (i.e., ILI, ECDA, ICDA, hydrotest)

* defect evaluation and repair

* pipeline risk management, analysis, and software systems, and 

* 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195, and integrity related industry codes.
